If you’ve ever set your face with powder and prayed it wouldn’t crease by lunch, this one’s for you.

Huda Beauty’s iconic base routine (previously Prime, Blur & Bake) has a new step we’re positive blur-finish lovers are going to adore.

Prime, Blur, Bake & Set has officially entered its next evolution, and it’s all about making a flawless face feel easy.

Ditching The Filters

Where did this all start? In 2021, Huda Kattan completely removed filters from her photos.

This decision influenced the creation of next-gen product innovation that allowed makeup wearers to look filtered IRL, and skip the post-snap editing.

The new approach embraced a skin first stance, with step by step compatible layers that worked in synergy.

The promise? You don’t have to do a heavier, full glam look- but makeup wearers are empowered to use the level of coverage and blur they want.

The MUA Approved Easy Blur Routine

At the Sydney launch of Huda Beauty’s latest “easy” range extension, Makeup artist Susan Lilian walked creators through tips and tricks to have blurred, long lasting makeup the Huda way.

Yes, we took notes.

Step 1: Prime with Easy Blur Primer

Shop: Huda Beauty Easy Blur Primer

What it is: A silicone-free, translucent pink jelly-textured primer that goes on clear and gives you that “did-she-get-a-facial?” kind of smoothing glow.

It cools on contact, controls oil, smooths texture, and visibly blurs pores.

Why we love it:

  • It skips the silicone and instead uses a blend of glycerin and Milk Thistle Extract to treat your skin with kindness (this decision was made with congestion prone makeup wearers in mind)

  • It's lightweight, long-wearing, and plays well with your skincare

  • Soft-focus finish

The MUA-approved tip?

Use more than you think.

One finger length on each side of the face brings the perfect amount of silicon-free blur.

Step 2: Blur with Easy Blur Foundation

Shop: Huda Beauty Easy Blur Foundation

What it is: A serum-like foundation that feels like skincare, works like magic, and looks like you…but smoother. Infused with 1.5% niacinamide and pore-blurring silica, it delivers medium-buildable coverage that blends effortlessly.

Why we love it:

  • Non-comedogenic and fragrance-free, so it won’t mess with sensitive skin

  • Comes in 29 shades

  • Designed to melt seamlessly into your complexion (you don’t need to do a full glam moment when using it, but the option is there)

The MUA-approved tip?

Your layers matter.

The oil based foundation was created specifically for the water based Easy Blur Primer for perfect layers- but not all products are designed like this, so user beware.

You don’t need to go full coverage with this one. Use thin layers for undetectable buildable coverage.

Step 3: Bake with Easy Bake Loose Powder

Shop: Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder

What it is: A silky, lightweight loose powder that sets makeup in place while colour-correcting and contouring the face.

Why we love it:

  • Matte with a subtle sheen. Just enough to not be flat

  • Prevents creasing and controls shine, even on long days

  • Updated packaging! The net dispenser helps control how much you use, and is removable if you want to dive in with a heavy hand to bake

  • Available in 9 shade options for a wide range of skin tones and preferences

The MUA-approved tip?

Using a powder puff is wonderful for even application across larger layers.

Start lower on the face, then bring up the excess powder to set trouble areas like under the eyes.

Step 4: Set with Easy Bake Setting Spray (The Newest Launch)

Shop: Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Spray

What it is: A 16-hour, long-wearing setting spray that brings all the benefits of Easy Bake powder… now in liquid form. Blurs, mattifies, and locks your makeup in place without drying or irritating your skin.

Why we love it:

  • Alcohol-free and fragrance-free

  • Contains rice starch for instant pore-blurring, mineral clay for oil control, and five (yes, five!) kinds of hyaluronic acid for hydration

The MUA-approved tip?

Shake, shake, shake, and shake.

Micro powders like rice starch that help mattify and blur throughout the day have to be dispersed perfectly before misting.

How many sprays? Just 5 is enough for the full face for 16 hour wear.

The Verdict

The new Easy Bake Setting Spray rounding out the blur routine is a welcomed addition. Huda Beauty has made good on what so many brands promise but few deliver: truly effortless, skin-first makeup that actually lasts.

Behind the scenes we’re working on a wear test, so stay tuned.
